Design and Direction
The Farming Division structure operates a comprehensive integrated program approach that provides services delivery for training, technical assistance, information, education and access to capital and other support resources for urban and rural micro-farms, family farmers and rural residents.
ALCDC is a technology transfer and heir property support center with education programs and initiatives in agriculture development for limited resource and underserved rural and urban families
Agriculture Business Training and Technical Support Center
The center offers and education and training curriculum to support rural and urban agriculture business and community development initiatives. On-site or strategically located workshops focus on individual development needs or basic farm business skills such as marketing, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and access to conservation, forestry, financial risk management and other farm and rural community development support resources.
Integrated Food and Farming Systems Demostrations
The Observation education training program assists farmers in the adoption of integrated ands self-support integrated vegetable crops, forestry, and livestock production with conservation program services. It encourages protecting the environment as well as the soil for productive crops. The overall goal of this program is to encourage socially disadvantaged and limited resource farmers to stay in farming and forestry and become agricultural businesspeople committed to ecology.
